The Meat House is the modern revival of the neighborhood butcher and grocer, featuring a wide selection of expertly butchered premium meats, fresh seafood, chef-inspired prepared foods, full service catering, fresh sandwiches, and a wide variety of local produce, artisan cheeses, breads, desserts and unique grocery items. Our team of expert butchers and experienced chefs are dedicated to helping create a great meal or a great event for our guests.

As a family-owned small business, we are building a team of like-minded individuals who share our passion for food, fun and serving others. We are seeking a passionate culinary manager to help us grow!

Role Description:

  • Participate hands-on and coordinate all day-to-day kitchen operations and culinary team assignments
  • Execute daily food service, quality, technique, portion, presentation and food cost control.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistent food quality and cost levels, including adherence to standardized production recipes and managing waste.
  • Responsible for all kitchen purchasing, including ordering and inventory processes.
  • Support the development of catering plans and execute catering orders, including off-site events requiring on-site support.
  • Support menu innovation, menu pricing and catering proposal development.
  • Ensure appropriate sanitation and safety standards are followed.
  • Participate in staff development
  • Service of guests from our Prepared Foods and Deli cases, including providing information on ingredients, allergens, preparation methods and pairings.
  • Provide a high level of hospitality to all of our guests and conducting oneself in a polite and professional manner at all times within the store or while on Meat House business.
  • Ongoing development of knowledge and skills with respect to cooking and preparation methods, proteins, Meat House products and offerings, and other related areas in support of guest service
  • Support of all team members in all areas of the store as requested by other team members or management
Salary Range:  $40,000 - 50,000 (based on experience)
