As the premier institution of Lebanese food culture and hospitality values in the US, ilili has built its reputation sharing the elevated cuisine of Philippe Massoud with New Yorkers. ilili is the city’s go-to restaurant for sophisticated Lebanese and Levantine cuisine, and with its acceptance at the upper echelons of New York’s dining scene has achieved world renown. Located on 5th avenue just north of Madison Square Park and south of the Empire State building, ilili is a vibrant, bustling meeting point of New York savvy and Lebanese generosity.

We are hiring a Chef de Cuisine to lead our BOH team in NYC to reach excellence. We are growing and are currently scheduled to open our first out of state location.in the spring of 2021. We are a high-volume restaurant serving around 600 covers for lunch and dinner, while touching every single plate. Our concept is based on mezze dining, a wide variety of small plates making up a meal.

We have been in New York City for 14 years now and our growth plan is in full throttle with many projects in the pipeline. This position opens the opportunity for rapid growth. All managerial positions will have the chance to grow into higher positions within the company.

As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be working closely with our owner and executive chef, to enhance company standards and be an active part of our growth plans.

We are seeking leaders with the hunger to drive our operation forward while being curious to learn and have a positive, uplifting attitude. There is no chef-ego here, we are all part of a team with a common objective of delivering excellence in food and hospitality.

This position is challenging and rewarding at the same time. You will take the responsibility of:

  1. Assessing our systems and procedures to come up with enhancements.
  2. Evaluating the effectiveness of our BOH operation and make recommendations.
  3. Scheduling BOH staff and maintaining fir working hours.
  4. Review the monthly P&L with the General manager.
  5. Recipe development and testing.
  6. Hiring and training of all BOH positions.

Compensation details
