Job Details

We are looking for a Floor Manager to join our team at Diner. Having recently emerged from quarantine with take-out then counter-service and now outddor dining, we are excited to be offering a version of Diner that offers our guests a place to meet, eat and enjoy each other while keeping our staff (and guests!) as safe as possible. 

The ideal candidate has a deep commitment to food and hospitality along with the energy and creativity to find new paths and solutions to these questions:

How do you provide a great service experience while protecting your teams and guests during a pandemic?

What is the role of restaurants in our food systems and how can we work to be vital and equitable in all of our relatioinships-with farmers, purveyors, winemakers, cooks, porters, servers, guests and ourselves?

How do we maintain, support and build our community when so many questions about our world is in flux?

How do you lead a team in this moment from a place of positivity and potential?

Our goal is to continue on our twenty+ year history of buying from farmers, purveyors and winemakers who share our values and creating a space for our teams and our guests to safely come together-whether to commiserate or celebrate. 

Compensation details

Medical, dental, and vision insurance and paid time off, education and dining allowance, semi-annual bonus structure based on costs/sales goals.
