The Last Page, scheduled to open early summer 2020, will be a unique culinary and cocktail destination. A place to eat, drink, work and relax. Our menu will consist of signature dishes focused on comfort and nostalgia. 

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor in the flagship store of a new restaurant group. The General Manager is like a movie director casting and coordinating the production. As head of our restaurant, you will be providing inspiration to a team that motivates them to work happier, harder and more effectively. The General manager leads a team focused on exceptional hospitality within a beautiful and well-manicured space while maintaining standards that reduce costs and increase sales within the company.


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a General Manager in a restaurant, preferably fine dining.
  • Minimum of 3 year of experience as a salaried manager in a restaurant.
  • Must have a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Have knowledge of service and food & beverage operations, generally involving at least five years of front-of-the-house operations including assistant management, server and/or bartender roles.
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
  • Should expect to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
  • Proactively handle all staff and guest requests or concerns quickly in a considerate and fair manner.
  • Be able to identify and develop staff members.
  • Be able to delegate and get work done through others.
  • Demonstrate a leadership style that creates a positive work environment.
  • Be organized in all areas e.g., office, storage areas, side work, and scheduling needs.
  • Be able to work lunch and dinner shifts on weekdays & weekends
  • ServSafe Certified, preferred



(Other duties may be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following:

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given attentive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive and productive working environment.
  • Responsible for all restaurant inventories including food, liquor, beer, wine, furniture, accessories, equipment.
  • Oversee that employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel, and, administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
  • Ensure all restaurant staff & management team members have necessary tools to perform daily duties.
