Legacy Hospitality is looking for a passionate and growth-oriented Kitchen Manager at Welcome Back Lounge to join our team!  Welcome Back Lounge is reopening in early August and looking for an individual to join the Legacy Family to restart kitchen operations and as sales and occupancy levels grow, build a kitchen team to ensure sales growth, profitability, and product quality.  Potential opportunities for growth within Legacy Hospitality as they become available.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Servsafe certified for both Chicago and Illinois
  • Culinary degree preferred but not necessary
  • At least 1 years of kitchen management experience preferred
  • Organizational Skills and Cleanliness are a must

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Strong understanding and ability to work all Kitchen positions
  • Ability to positively interact with guests taking orders along and proper cash handling
  • Obtain and maintain all food safety city and state certifications for self and staff
  • Food Inventory performed on a weekly basis with food cost calculated using Ctuit Software linked with ONE POS system
  • Setting appropriate Preparation & Ordering Par Levels to ensure fresh food as well as managing and preparing these lists
  • Any matters regarding health code violations
  • All Kitchen ordering (i.e. produce, bread, Sysco, china, smallwares, paper goods)
  • China/Smallwares maintenance and inventory
  • Hiring and Training a kitchen staff as well as ensuring BOH Human Resource files for each employee are complete and correct
  • Weekly BOH Scheduling and calculating Labor Costs
  • Continual Educatation of FOH staff on menu and food preparation
  • Assist with Kitchen Repairs and Equipment Maintenance
  • Put systems in place to keep ticket times less than 12 minutes & ensure High-Quality, Consistent Food
  • Kitchen & Food Storage Cleanliness and Organization
