Sushi Noz is searching for passionate industry professionals to Join our service team at Chef Nozomu Abe's Michelin-starred Edomae Omakase salon on New York's Upper East Side.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent food, wine, and sake knowledge who can work well under pressure in a team environment.

  • Ideal candidates should be detail oriented, professional, and highly-motivated. 
  • Previous work with a tasting menu format and Japanese Culinary tradition is appreciated.
  • Previous experience working within a Michelin-starred restaurant is prefered.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Must have 2 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a Server
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards
• Must have full schedule availability
• Must be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamic
 
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be warm, knowledgeable and noticeably appreciative
• Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome
• Maintain composure under pressure
• Identify and report problems to management immediately 
• Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs 
• Implement and follow steps of service
• Oversee activities of your team in the station
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Know and be able to identify table and seat numbers 
• Know and be able to create the napkin fold
• Know how to organize and carry a tray properly for foodservice 
• Maintain station cleanliness 
• Understand the proper standards of clearing a table 
• Be willing and able to perform the sequence of service 
• Be knowledgeable of the menu: the dish as it is listed on the menu & allergies

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience)
