For the past 10 years, Chef John Fraser has built a renowned restaurant group, garnishing industry wide recognition, multiple Michelin Stars and favorable accolades from the New York Times. 

Chef John Fraser is seeking a Finance and Operations Analyst for our Food and Beverage outlets at The Times Square EDITION Hotel. There are many opportunities for growth for the right candidate.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS:
 
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Detail oriented, follows through and is able to multitask and prioritize needs, as well as work under pressure 
  • Able to work quickly and adapt on the go
  • Experienced in the food and beverage industry
  • Experienced and understands payroll and tips
  • Experienced, preferably advanced, with Excel (pivot table, vlookups, etc.)
  • Experienced in purchasing and accounts payable
  • Experienced in accounting and GAAP
  • Understands budgets, financial models, and FP&A
  • Experienced with Point of Sale software, especially Micros
  • Able to work independently and teach themselves various software and programs, and improve protocols
  • Able to understand and interpret large sets of data and information
  • Able to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
A TASTE OF THE ROLE:
 
  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly reporting for business unit
  • Create ad-hoc reports for senior leadership
  • Update and manage annual budget and reforecasting process
  • Assist in Accounts Payable process and reconciliation
  • Review invoices and enter them into purchasing software
  • Coordinate with Marriott accounting team to manage bookkeeping and accounting
  • Ensure integrity of POS – Tenders, Items, Discounts, House Accounts
  • Manage the cash handling and cash reconciliation process
  • Review and update gratuity distribution
  • Train managers and staff on financial standard operating procedures
