Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Host to join our Restaurant and bars team!
 
You will be responsible for providing a naturally friendly, helpful, and responsive level of service to all our guests.  You play a critical role in the guest experience, as you are often the first and the last person who will interact with the guest.  You set the tone and leave the impression! You bring experience, ability, and character to this role, working with the team to provide awesome service.
 
While this description is meant to give you an idea of how we see the role, it is not meant to be all-inclusive. As we re-open and adjust our service offerings and model, additional responsibilities may be asked of you to meet the ongoing operational needs.
 
What you'll do ...
  • Warmly welcome and greet all guests and engaging them in conversation while guiding them to their seat
  • Be a wealth of knowledge as it relates to our restaurant and hotel information as well as neighborhood happenings – hours of operations, directions, our neighbors, and key team member names and titles
  • Understand the floor plan and flow of all our restaurant spaces
  • Recognize, engage in conversation, and take care of regular and PX/SPX guests
  • Ensure correct social distancing is in place with regards to table spacing and guests waiting in line. These guidelines may change as new health and safety regulations as instituted
  • Pull out chairs and adjust tables while seating guests, and present menus individually or explain how to access menus digitally, whichever is applicable
  • Master the operations of the Resy reservation system
  • Create guest wait lists and monitor accordingly when needed
  • Handle phone reservations, being warm and helpful and always do your best to accommodate, offering other options when the restaurant is booked
  • Communicate all event inquiries with sales as well as any lost and found inquiries to management
  • Handle all credit card authorizations for guests and acquire all credit card information for itemized receipts and credit card disputes
  • Wish all guests a warm farewell, and invite them back
  • Complete opening and closing tasks as well as extra cleaning projects as needed
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times, even when working to achieve solutions to challenges
  • Lend a hand to not only guests but your colleagues and team alike - we’ve always been in it together, but as we re-open even more so than before

  • You have restaurant or hospitality-related experience in a similar role
  • You’re able to provide a great level of service to guests all while handling many other tasks simultaneously
  • You have a baseline of service standards and food and beverage knowledge
