Summary: Acts as the support for the General Manager and managing all aspects of the kitchen operations. Ensuring employees are engaged in serving food in fast-casual cafe dining environment, and in maintaining cleanliness of food service areas and equipment by performing the following duties. Displays a genuine and friendly attitude and a true desire to serve others. With the right attitude, work ethic and ability to learn new skills! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offers hospitality to both team members and our guests
  • Trains and coaches teammemberss in performance of duties.
  • Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations.
  • Supervises serving of meals.
  • Inspects kitchen, kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met.
  • Requisitions and inspects foodstuffs, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met.
  • Evaluates work performance of employees and elevates managment team.
  • Directs preparation of foods and beverages.
  • Examines cost of goods to ensure goals are being met.

Additional Responsibilities:                                                

Directly supervises 5-15 5employees including Assitant Kitchen Manager, Line Cooks and Prep Cook/Dishwasher. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include conducting successful service during peak hours, elevating team members to help them grow, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; communicating performance in consideration for rewarding or disciplinarily action; communicates complaints and concerns.

Education and/or Experience:                                                              

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three to nine month’s related experience; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2-4 year Kitchn experience in fast-casual cafe or casual dining 

Bilingual (Spanish & English)

Physical Demands: Must be able to work numerous hours on feet.  Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Compensation details

Weekly paycheck, 3% match 401k, Health Benefits, 1 week PTO, Meal or Travel allowance
