Longshot Hospitality is now hiring a Sous Chef(s) for Dauphine’s located in Midtown Center Washington, DC. Dauphine’s is a modern-day incarnation of the legendary grande dame establishments that have been the big, bustling, friendly, savory heart of New Orleans restaurant culture for well over a century. Set to open in Spring 2020, this ambitious vision of Long Shot Hospitality will offer seating inside and outside on an adjoining sheltered patio. The spacious multi-level interior features both a raw bar and a boucherie under a fanciful wrought-iron pavilion, which also houses the elegant cocktail bar with plush green velvet seating on the mezzanine; for fresh-air cocktails, an outdoor bar serves the patio lounge and dining area.

Chef Kyle Bailey and team opened The Salt Line in 2017 with a 3 Star Review from Tom Sietsema in the Washington Post and continues to get recognition for his success by receiving the 2019 Chef of the Year award from the RAMW.

The concept for Dauphine’s capitalizes on the sought-after seafood acumen of award-winning chef-proprietor Kyle Bailey. At Dauphine’s, Bailey offers worthy interpretations of New Orleans classics, unafraid to impose his impeccable judgement in favor of inspired creativity and responsible sourcing. The Salt Line was the founding member of Dock-To-Dish in Washington, D.C. Dock-to-Dish focuses on taking the middleman out of the seafood supply chain much like the Farm-To-Table movement. At Dauphine’s, you can expect to handle all manner of seafood, whole animal butchery, and a proprietary charcuterie program in a technique-driven, unpretentious kitchen environment. You will also work with our team executing real scratch cooking and preservation methods.

For a beverage program evoking the city that actually invented the cocktail, Dauphine’s goes straight to the source, joining forces with proprietor Neal Bodenheimer of Cure Co., New Orleans’ acclaimed cocktail-focused hospitality group whose eponymous flagship, Cure, was the 2018 winner of the James Beard Award for Outstanding Cocktail Program.

We are seeking a strong, creative & aspiring chef with high volume experience, a genuine love of hospitality, and great customer service skills. 

If you are a candidate that needs time to transition this can still be a fit for you - We are more concerned with finding the right Chef(s) to join this team.
