Job Details

Damian, is currently seeking a passion and highly driven Sous Chef to join their team. The Sous Chef willl assist the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing daily culinary operations. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Overseeing daily culinary operations
  • Direct and participate in the daily preparation of food items
  • Ensure overall consistency and high quality across the food operations
  • Assist with hiring , training and developing staff
  • Maintain correct weekly and daily ordering
  • Assist with managing employee relations
  • Maintain staff schedules and ensure they coincide with daily business levels
  • Highly knowledgeable in a variety of cooking techniques

  • Minimum 3-4 years in a fast-paced kitchen, fine dining high-volume restaurant
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and teamwork skills and abilities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to stand for 9 to 10+ hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Food Handlers Card / ServSafe Certification
  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends,some holidays,  and shifts from morning through late night
  • Bi-Lingual English / Spanish a plus
