POSITION SUMMARY
The Maitre D’ is responsible for greeting patrons, showing them to tables, managing the flow of the restaurant through collaboration with Kitchen and Floor Staff.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Showing patrons to tables during Lunch & Dinner service
• Greeting and escorting patrons with a professional and positive attitude
• Oversee the flow of guests within the restaurant
• Manage the reservations and reservations team
• Liaison between Back of the House and Front of the House team
• Maintain the ambiance of the restaurant through lighting, music and cleanliness
• Proactively deal with guest inquiries and complaints
• Advise guests on specials, menu items and beverage choices
• Deal with guest Special Occasion arrangements and large party bookings


QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3-5 years working in a fine-dining establishment as a Maitre D’ or Head Waiter/Waitress/Host
• Provide impeccable customer service
• Ability to understand and respond to individual patrons needs and requirements
• Maintain high-quality Service Standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills and can work a flexible schedule
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
• Must work well individually and as a team player
• Must be able to stand and walk for long shifts of 8-12 hours
• Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks to ensure work load is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately.

Assyrtiko Wine Bar is a new expression of the Milos brand. During the day, a Greek yogurt bar, made to order food, proprietary coffee, and pastries are available for dine-in or to-go. Signature packaged ingredients such as olive oil, honey and sea salts are available for those who wish to experience Milos quality any time, anywhere.
