Job Details
Zusik - the Korean fusion creation of award-winning Chef Yurum Nam, located on the bustling street of 14th.  As a CIA graduate, Chef Nam went on to gain experience ranging from hotels to well-regarded establishments like The Modern and Gramercy Tavern. He then went on to build his own successful projects including the ever so popular Korean BBQ restaurant, Jongro BBQ and Dons Bogam.
 
This is a great opportunity for up and coming Sous Chefs to learn and grow with some of the best culinary talents. The individual must be self-motivated, ambitious, friendly, and able to stay focused and perform in highly stressful environments. Individuals are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, focus, and to provide leadership and direction in the kitchen as needed. 
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  
 
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of individuals
  • Ability to lead and direct in various situations
  • Ability to work various stations
  • Ability to improvise and adapt
  • Punctuality and Responsibility 
  • Maintainance and Organization of kitchen sanitation standards 
  • Hospitable 
  • Detail-oriented
  • Management of the line and prep
  • Precise knife skills
  • Ability to read and follow recipes 
  • Assist with managing cost control
  • Food Handler's Certificate is not required but is definitely a plus!
