A Pizzaiolo at Leonelli Taberna and Leonelli Focacceria e Pasticceria is responsible for focaccia and other bread production for our Bakery and Restaurant. Ensures that the products produced meet the quality standards established in conjunction with the Head Baker and Executive Chef. This role is responsible for preparing food items for retail sale, restaurant service, and catering orders.
As an ambassador of Leonelli products and services, the Pizzaiolo is responsible for helping to create and maintain quality experiences for each guest that comes to our restaurants.
The ideal candidate for this position has had at least one year of experience working in restaurants in a similar role, OR has experience in a bread baking position. 
Along with the general responsibilities of the team, this role will:
  • Ensure that all food and products (focaccia, bread, & other menu items) are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the property.
  • Operate a specific station with others or individually per Chef request. Set up and close out each work stations based on parameters established by the Executive Chef, Chef deCuisine, and Head Baker Receive orders for and prepare menu items ordered by guests and catering orders according to restaurant standards and in timely manner.
  • Monitor par levels of prepared focaccia’s and other food items in bakery and prepare more, if necessary. Collaborate when appropriate in menu changes, including specials/seasonal offerings.
  • Work in tandem with fellow team members to ensure standards are met or exceeded as it relations to appearance of the facilities, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, production working environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring your team members to assist each other in achieving professional goals.
  • Assure all necessary items are in the restaurant/bakery at the start of the shift.
  • This role may be responsible for engaging with guests to assist with questions about menu items.
