Job Details

Nic's on Beverly is looking for a creative experienced hard-working sous chef.  

Job Duties:

Responsible for food production:

Train new and existing kitchen staff on the preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes per the current menu
Track, record, and replenish inventory as needed
Cross-train kitchen staff on multiple stations
Assist Executive Chef with pricing menu items
Operates all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
Follows facility and chef’s safe food handling guidelines.
Follows all sanitation and nutrition practices.
Follows all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production
not detailed, as requested by the Chef or General Manager at any time.

Education / Experience / Skills:

2+ years culinary leadership in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and time management.
High level of creativity and reliability
Familiarity with menu costing procedures
Familiarity with receiving orders from vendors
Adherence to all Company and Safety Policies and Procedures
