Job Details

The Dinex Group, the restaurant group of Chef Daniel Boulud, has an exciting opportunity in the Human Resources department. The Human Resources Coordinator’s primary focus is to contribute to the accomplishment of HR practices and objectives that supports a Company culture which emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for all HR initiatives / Enforce compliance
  • Oversee new hire process / Daily update of careers page
  • Help new employees integrate into the company by explaining company policies and benefits
  • Monitor Onboarding checklist progress and verify Form I-9 as well as IDs provided
  • Assist the accounting department during weekly payroll to ensure accuracy of position offered, pay rate, payroll allocation or any missing information pertaining to an employee’s file
  • Assure timely record keeping of employee related documents
  • Issue companywide phone list on a monthly basis
  • Circulate weekly HR flash
  • Coordinate monthly orientation, scheduling and update content for presentation
  • Draft letters of employment (upon request of manager/chef/employee)
  • Assist with other HR functions (Compensation, Performance Evaluations, Learning & Development)
  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned

Screening and Recruiting:

  • Prepare job postings to fill vacancies for all Dinex properties worldwide, including writing job descriptions and advertising on job boards & social media platforms
  • Contact candidates from resumes received through job boards or referrals
  • Screen Front & Back of House Employees
  • Coordinate “Open Calls” monthly and set up trails accordingly based on initial interviews
  • Conduct applicant reference checks
  • Communicate with all Chefs/ GM’s regularly via phone or email
  • Extend offers for employment


  • Minimum of one year of experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge and passion for food & the restaurant industry
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Ability to understand business processes and implementation of best practices
  • Proactive research and resolution of issues
  • Proficiency in Paycom
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and appropriately
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Service oriented with a strong ability to interact with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to read / speak Spanish and/or French a plus
