Arigatou, Chicago! We are so thankful for the amazing response to our new restaurant we need more help to keep up with the demand!
Gaijin is looking for AM and PM line cooks, AM prep help and pastry plating help. Weekend  We are hiring experienced (at least 4 years) cooks that can work well on a team in an open, fast-paced kitchen.

Gaijin is Chicago's first okonomiyaki and kakigori restaurant. Okonomiyaki- savory griddle cakes- and kakigori - japanese shaved ice- are extremely popular in Japan. Michelin starred, Food and Wine Best New chef, and James Beard nominated Paul Virant personally leads the open kitchen and brings his family dinner favorite to new levels of flavor while respectfully striving for authenticity, honoring a beloved Japanese food tradition.
Compensation will be based on expereince (starting at $16/hour).  Enrollment in a group health insurance is offered to all full-time employees. This is a great opportunity to work with a new concept and grow as we grow.
