Hosts are service professionals responsible for welcoming guests into the restaurant and bidding them farewell upon exit. Hosts maintain the front entry way and coat check area, check-in and seat guests, perform table and bathroom checks, oversee coat check service, and provide great overall interactions to all our guests. Hosts work with all Front of House Service Departments to ensure a smooth continuation of service.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete all assigned side work related to opening and closing the front desk, coat check, and guest restrooms.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk with all restaurant collateral fully stocked at all times.
  • Warmly welcome all guests into the restaurant, check-in their reservation, and escort them to their assigned table.
  • Offer coat check assistance to all guests with coats, bags, luggage, umbrellas, etc.
  • Perform routine table checks and bathroom checks.
  • Maintain all tools of the position.
  • Communicate with management in real time when there are seating delays or unsatisfied guests.
  • Adhere to company uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards. Arrive to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
  • Assist other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Professional capacity to communicate in English both written and orally.
  • Ability to operate phones.
  • Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the business dictates.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the entirety of a shift over multiple floors.
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cote brand, culture, and product.
  • Excellent communication with management and teammates.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and state Department of Health standards for the front desk, coat check, and restrooms.
