We are having an open house and are inviting candidates to come in anytime Monday-Friday throughout the day to interview. If you are interested in interviewing, please come to 222 N Canal St and ask to interview with Iman Dean.

Taste 222 is the storefront showcase of Cleveland Avenue, a venture capital and consulting firm that invests in remarkable food, beverage and restaurant concepts. Taste 222 honors entrepreneurs by providing a supportive and experiential environment for their food and beverage creations. In addition to original offerings from our culinary team, Taste 222 features new products from entrepreneurs ranging from grab-and-go beverages to delectable desserts. The restaurant also gives other Cleveland Avenue business partners a retail venue to test new food and beverage concepts with consumers.

As part of our support staff, the Taste 222 Busser is in charge of creating a positive experience for each guest by contributing to the set-up and break down of the restaurant. Responsibilities include: handling carryout orders, running food, fulfilling guest requests, basic table services, sanitation, organization and proper food handling. Teamwork is essential and is what we're all about at Taste 222.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greet customers, once seated, when pouring water.
  • Assist service staff with specific needs for the table: i.e., clearing plates, bringing fresh silverware, refilling coffee, tea, water, and crumbing table.
  • Assist the host with seating rotations by rapidly cleaning tables, chairs, floors; and, by notifying the host of available seating.
  • Assist bartenders with needs for the bar: i.e., glassware, bus tubs, juices, ice, etc.
  • Assist the kitchen by bringing dirty plate ware, silverware, and glassware to the kitchen, and restocking the service stations with clean plate ware, silverware, and glassware.
  • Stock service stations with food service items: i.e., coffee, cream, cut lemons, soup spoons, etc.
  • Assist with the cleanliness of customer service areas: i.e., tables, chairs, and the floor.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant, inside and out.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the restrooms, on a consistent basis.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years serving and/or hosting in a full service restaurant
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have the stamina to work 40 hours per week
  • Must be teamwork oriented
