We are hiring with a sign-on bonus!

10% of yearly salary will be paid out over 2 installments as a sign-on bonus (gross amount - before taxes) upon successful completion of 90 days of employment (1st installment of bonus) and 6 months after date of hire (2nd installment of bonus). Employee must be in good standing and receive a positive employee evaluation for payout.

Chef John Fraser is the accomplished restaurateur behind Manhattan's NIX and The Loyal. JF Restaurants also operates collaboratively as Food and Beverage Partner to The Times Square EDITION Hotel and the Metropolitan Museum Dining Room.

In 2019, in partnership with Ian Schrager, JF Restaurants opened The Times Square Edition and oversees all food and beverage at the new 452-room hotel in Times Square, including 701West, The Terrace at EDITION, Paradise Club and the Lobby Bar. For the past 10 years, Chef John Fraser has built a renowned restaurant group, garnishing industry wide recognition, multiple Michelin Stars and favorable accolades from the New York Times.

We are currently looking to fulfill our Sous Chef position with many opportunities for growth for the right candidate. 

What is required:

  • Prior Sous Chef experience in a high volume upscale or fine dining restaurant, expereince in a luxury hotel preferred
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Open flexibility

Candidates must also have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to strong communication skills and is a team player. We are looking for people who can work well with a tight, harmonious team and who can take direction in a disciplined and intense but supportive and respectful environment.

The restaurant marries the foundations of classic cooking techniques from all around the world with a fresh approach. The menu reflects Chef’s vegetable-forward cooking style, featuring signature dishes like Mushroom Carpaccio, house-made pastas including a vegan Carrot Bolognese, and a section of the menu dedicated to heirloom lettuces.

Desserts by Executive Pastry Chef Sebastien Rouxel features a Chocolate Soufflé’ for Two, topped with Grand Marnier ice cream. Bar Director Salvatore Tafuri offers a list of original cocktails named after timeless Broadway shows, while Wine Director Amy Racine presents an exclusively New World wine list, focused on sustainable producers.
