Basic job duties include..
• Assist server in the dining room set up and breakdown for service
• Wipe down tables, chairs, folding napkins, moving tables & setting tables with proper place setting
• Ability to properly run multiple hot plates of food and comfortably serve to guests as well as clear mutiple plates from tables.
• Ability to carry a tray full of fresh drinks or empty glasses
• Maintain knowledge of food/beverage/menu descriptions and daily specials.
• Balancing the needs of your section with the needs of the restaurant. (maintaining service stations, coffee stations, running food, e.t.c)
• Able to access Point of Sale (POS) to review orders
• Proficiency in dealing with guests complaints and the steps to take when a guest returns food and beverage and a refire is necessary.
• Understanding of the expediting preparation time for food to be ready and the ability to coordinate this with holding or firing food.
