Kitchen Manager Needed To Lead a Franchised Concept: 


Travel for Training will be required.  Travel will be paid for by operator. 


We are on the hunt for a responsible, skilled and experienced kitchen manager to lead an opening of a franchise concept to oversee daily operations with a storefront and food truck. The kitchen manger will work hand and hand with the operations manager overseeing the ordering, food preparation, scheduling, monitoring inventory and quality controls. This will be the first franchise from the brand into the City of Chicago. We also have the rights to multiple locations so we are looking for a leader to grow with us. 


To be successful in this role you will demonstrate leadership, culinary skills that follow brand recipes and cooking methods with management experience.  In addition to being organized you will be a solid communicator, and have the ability to demonstrate leadership and cost management on a day to day basis.  


Responsibilities: 

  • Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand, par levels and inventory schedules to brand specs while working with selected vendors.
  • Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders for the food truck, pickup and delivery orders.
  • Oversee the food preparation and cooking process 
  • Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations
  • Monitor Inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments 
  • Work with operations manager to allocate correct pricing and sales results 
  • Scheduling of kitchen and food trucks staff for catering, daily operations 
  • Store all food products according to brand specifications, with compliance of local health and safety regulations 
  • Maintain an immaculately clean and organized kitchen in order to obtain operational efficiencies 
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting and cost allocations 
  • Maintain brand checklists and documented organizational apps for proper completion of tasks and cleaning projects 


Requirements: 


  • Prior experience in kitchen environment with large brands preferrable, 2 years minimum cook experience. Management experience a plus but not required for the right candidate. 
  • Positive attitude, adaptable and focused on growth 
  • Health and sanitation knowledge for the City of Chicago.  City of Chicago managers food certification license required 
  • Ability to work in an ever changing fast paced environment focused heavily on prep and organization
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate in a structured and documented manner, reporting structure will be vital to the operation.   

Compensation: 

35-40K a year, 5 days a week minimum requirement.  Days, Nights and weekends must be able to work. Schedules will fluctuate and will need to be flexible with hours dependent on catering, store and food truck needs.
