Qualified candidate should be personable, articulate and have at least 1 year of previous serving experience in an upscale, high end restaurant or 4 diamond hotel. S/He will be responsible for welcoming guests in our urban chic lounge Liberté, explaining the menu and taking food and beverage orders. S/He will serve the food and beverages according to Sofitel and AAA 4 Diamond standards maintaining current knowledge of all menu offerings, to include ingredients, preparation method, and presentation. Other responsibilities include setting up the lounge (mise en place). Knowledge of Micros a plus, or two years’ experience with a comparable restaurant software system. Candidate should have experience in opening and closing shifts, table service, wine service, knowledge of food and wine pairing, knowledge of high end liquors and aperitifs and experience with a high end bar menu.
Must be pleasant, well spoken, and willing to go beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
