At The Usual, we do American comfort food cooked by children of immigrants and show this throughout on our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Our chef, Alvin Cailan who opened Eggslut in Los Angeles as well as AMBOY and Unit 120 has moved to NYC to open The Usual and AMBOY (coming soon). Our beverage program is focused heavily on natural wine and we have been acknowledged as Americas Top 100 Best Wine Restaurants by Wine Enthusiast.
Looking for staff who have worked in fast paced and professional settings.
Position is part time. Looking for someone who can work 2-3 shifts including brunch shifts 10:30AM - 5:00PM.

The Usual is Chef Alvin Cailan's first restaurant in NYC. He fell in love with New York and decided to move into the Nolita area so he can cook food and become a small part of the wonderful neighborhood.
Alvin is known for his restaurant in Los Angeles, CA called Eggslut. He first opened as a food truck but Eggslut has since expanded to six other locations including The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.
Alvin has since become most known for being the host of The Burger Show which is shown on YouTube and made by First we Feast. His burgers are quite delicious!
