Job Details

Double Zero is looking for passionate, thoughtful, and dedicated people to partner with our staff as server assistants. Server assistants are responsible for running food, polishing and restocking (to the kitchen and the side stations) plateware, glassware, silverware, clearing empty/dirty plates, remarking for the next course, watering/greeting tables and bussing and resetting tables.

We want people who view dining as an experience and something that we can guide the guests through, enhancing their time with us and making their day a brighter one through our service. Balanced, level headed people who can effectively prioritize and execute service while maintaining a warm persona and demeanor are what we're looking for.

Looking for staff to work 20-35 hours (4-5 days each week). Pay is hourly plus tipout based on experience. PTO and 401K options available after a certain time period. Double Zero is an E-Verify employer.

Our ancestors, and many others like them, made the pilgrimage from southern Italy to Ellis Island. These immigrants hit the streets of NYC with a ripe attitude and a culture deeply rooted in food. Their entrepreneurial spirit spawned many businesses as Italian-Americans infiltrated the neighborhoods surrounding Mulberry Street and much of the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This new home was rich in Neapolitan ties; however, a uniquely American identity was taking form as they embraced their status as first generation Italian-Americans.
Now generations removed from that first journey across the Atlantic, we aim to update the concept of an Italian-American restaurant. The sourcing of our ingredients, our techniques, and the design of our space is modern, but we take inspiration from the tenacity, originality, and hustle of our ancestors — and of course, their damn delicious food. We hope that those who came before us would be proud of this effort.
