Bar Manager JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description

 

Position Summary: Leads the successful day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Trains, supports, develops crew, provides exceptional customer service, ensures food safety, and maintains budgets set by the General Manager.

  • Leading the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations
  • Maintaining a clean restaurant with excellent quality food and customer service
  • Successfully communicating company changes/focus to the team
  • Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and effectively within the Company’s fiscal and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety and security systems and procedures are followed to ensure safety of employees and guests.
  • Support and implement Company local store marketing programs
  • Responsible for the physical/asthetic maintenance of the restaurant.
  • Ensure that all menu items are made according to recipe and presented to our quality standards
  • Abide by Taco Bamba’s policies concerning alcohol consumption and safety procedures to prevent over intoxication and underage selling.
  • Complete knowledge of food and bar menus, including bar batch recipes
  • Proper set up and breakdown of margarita machines, wells and other bar equipment
  • Correct labeling of produce and batches using proper day dots.
  • Interact with guests while maintaining a professional work environment
  • Responsible for operating the bar, processing cash and credit card transactions. Properly monitors inventory efficiently.
  • Utilize food production and inventory tools
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes, products and production procedures.
  • Ensure established standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained.
  • Respond to guest comments and criticism in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Responsible to maintain labor efficiency ratios to ensure guest service and cost effectiveness.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

 

  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
  • Food Safety and security knowledge
  • Food production standards
  • Restaurant operations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good math skill
  • Good training and coaching skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must have Manager Food Safety Certificate
  • Basic Computer skill
  • Basic liquor, beer, and bar terminology knowledge
  • Faced paced restaurant environment
  • Understanding ServSafe Alcohol and Food Handling policies and procedures
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current ServSafe Alcohol and Food Handler’s certificate
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Must be able to carry at least 40 lbs.
