Cranes is seeking talented, highly motivated individuals who want to be part of the region’s most anticipated restaurant opening in the heart of Penn Quarter in January of 2020. Team up with owner/chef Pepe Moncayo in this unique opportunity as he introduces Washington D.C. to Spanish Kaiseki cuisine.

Located just a short walk from the Metro (Gallery Pl/Chinatown) and Capital One Arena, our 12,000 square foot restaurant will be our first venture in the U.S. certainly not our last.

Chef Moncayo is a world-renowned chef, creating in Michelin Star restaurants throughout the world. The intersection of Spanish and Japanese cuisine that Chef Moncayo has created, while rare and unique, is a natural cultural and culinary marriage. Currently, Cranes is looking for a Floor manager to lead the front of the House with the following requirements and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist General Manager with daily duties of operations of restaurant
  • Assist in scheduling, ordering and training
  • Lead the Front of the House team
  • Monitor and Track effectiveness of team performance
  • Communicate effectively across the facets and unties of the company
  • Constantly strive to increase efficiency while maintaining the highest level of services with the goal to increase customer retention.

Requirements:

  • TIPs certification
  • DC food handlers’ card (DC DCH)
  • Knowledgeable in steps of service for full-service restaurant
  • Knowledge of how to set up a floor plan
  • Familiar with POS systems may include KDS systems
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in similar role
  • High School Diploma or similar certification
  • Knowledge of office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Local ID (driver’s license, SS#, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
