The Imperial, a new Adams Morgan/DuPont concept is seeking full-time floor managers. The Imperial is the latest venture from the owners of the acclaimed Jack Rose Dining Saloon.
It is a three-floor restaurant and bar, where Chef Russell Jones serves Mid-Atlantic inspired cuisine through the lens of southern France.
The main floor features a sparkling raw bar and a drinking bar pouring fun, funky wines (think lesser known regions, small producers & biodymanic winemakers), creative craft cocktails and vintage spirits.
Our ideal managerial candidate has extensive bar & restaurant service experience in well-reviewed, high profile establishments.
Specific responsibilities include staff education, daily floor management, event support and routine adminstrative responsibilities.
Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership restaurant experience (i.e., lead service positions or floor management experience) in a high volume, high profile restaurant
- Ability to acquire Food Handler’s Certification and ABRA Manager License required
- Exceptional steps of service knowledge and floor presence skills
- High proficiency in all food and beverage knowledge categories (specific certifications a plus)
- Technical proficiency in MICROS, reservations systems (OpenTable, Resy, Reserve, etc.), Microsoft Office required
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Wordpress highly desired
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekend and holidays
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds, comfortability standing/walking for hours at a time
- Complete knowledge of all dining and wine menus
- Complete knowledge of all cocktail and beer menus
- Growing knowledge of whiskey collection
