Job Details
Estiatorio Milos is looking for a qualified, dynamic, Floor Manager to join our expanding team!
 
Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, only steps away from Central Park, Broadway, and Times Square, Milos was chef Spiliadis’ grand entrance into the United States.  His signature open kitchen and fish market, double-height ceilings, walls of windows and two mezzanine-level private dining rooms laid the foundation for what would become the standard bearer for Mediterranean food and the freshest, most exquisite ingredients in New York and beyond.
In 2017, a full renovation was completed, updating the restaurant New Yorker’s had grown to love.  Notably, new Dinesen heart oak wood floors, a Pentelikon marble spiral staircase, and ceiling lights pendants modeled after the very lights used on our fishing boats in the Mediterranean were added.  After years of requests from our guests to provide more private dining space, Milos added constructed a 10,000 square foot, state of the art private events level. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

  • Control day-to-day operations by scheduling shifts, ordering supplies and developing restaurant team
  • Manage and train staff adhearing to Milos Standards.
  • Ensure Occupational Safety and health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are followed
  • Control Profit & Loss (i.e., budget attainment both revenue and labor) by following cash control, security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, review financial reports and taking appropriate action to maintain and monitor P&L across all categories listed
  • Recruit, interview and hire FOH team utilizing company interview procedure, conduct performance review, take discipline action to ensure company standards are met by all employees, motivate and train staff daily
  • Ensure maintenance and equipment, facility and grounds through the use of a Preventive Maintenance plan based on company standard.
  • Communicate reports, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions to Human Resources HQ
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a Preventive Maintenance plan based on company standard.
  • Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
  • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate & marketing programs
  • Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team members

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

  • Degree in Hospitality, Hotel, or Restaurant Business Management preferred, but we are open to disscussions with all experienced and qualified candidates!
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in upscale high volume restaurant management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a positive attitude and problem solving skills 
  • Extensive customer service and resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Open Table
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends and holidays
  • Must have exceptional verbal, written and clear communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees and general public while listening to concerns when necessary
  • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values
  • Must be able to work independently, under pressure and use sound business judgment
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational abilities
