About Momofuku

Momofuku was founded by chef David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Credited with “the rise of contemporary Asian-American cuisine” by the New York Times and named the “most important restaurant in America” by Bon Appétit magazine, Momofuku has opened restaurants in the United States, Australia, and Canada. The restaurants have gained world-wide recognition for their innovative take on cuisine, while supporting sustainable and responsible farmers and food purveyors.

Momofuku CCDC 

Momofuku CCDC opened in 2015 and serves a constantly evolving menu. Executive Chef Tae Strain and the CCDC team create seasonally focused dishes that showcase Mid-Atlantic purveyors and the region’s food traditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
  • Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest
  • Up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, unfamiliar ingredients, and appropriate utensils for service
  • Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
  • Understand and execute food safety and allergies protocols
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed
  • Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
  • Assist expeditor by communicating necessary dining room information
  • Assist servers and bartenders by communicating 86s, menu changes, and/or other food related information
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas
  • Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
  • Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
  • Stocking and preparing service related items
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

 Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience in a high volume environment
  • Strong food knowledge preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
  • Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
