Porta Philadelphia is looking for an experienced Sous Chefs to join their amazing team!
Our chefs must possess the confidence, charisma and communication skills to develop their team members into energetic and committed contributors to the evolution of our restaurant. They must possess the culinary experience and skills necessary to consistently execute impeccably prepared food. They must be able to comprehend and positively influence factors of profitability while adhering to our Standard Operating Procedures. Ultimately, our chefs must lead with integrity and be willing to put in the effort to become an expert on our brand and a caretaker of our values.
Minimum 2 years high volume experience preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work directly with Head Chef to address any issues pertaining to the BOH team
Master of consistent execution of all dishes
Appropriate cleanliness and presentation of kitchen staff, as well as maintaining a professional and safe work environment.
Proper food ordering, inventory, storage
Communicating with vendors to ensure all product brought in house are quality and at the best price point.
Qualifications and Skills
Teaching, coaching and directing to a groom staff.
Ability to execute recipes with high proficiency and on brand.
Able to create daily specials that are brand recognizable and delicious.
