The Turk’s Inn was founded in 1934 in the north woods of Wisconsin, where for 80 years it served steaks and chops alongside more exotic fare in a lush Arabesque setting. Upon its closing in 2014, we committed to keeping the spirit of Turk’s alive, moving it part and parcel from Wisconsin to Brooklyn, expanding on the concept to keep it fresh and interesting for a new generation of Turk’s patrons.   


  • A Server is responsible for providing an experience that exceeds out our guests’ expectations.  
  • A Server acts as the host of the party - the party at the table they are currently serving.  
  • A Server commits to memory our SOS, SOPs, and food and beverage menus so they can curate a culinary experience that transports the guest out of Brooklyn and our modern world.
  • A Server listens to and watches the guest so that they may anticipate their needs whenever possible.
  • A Server communicates Turk’s core values, history, and our present experiential offerings with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm.
  • A Server assists and openly supports all team members throughout the shift as they collectively reach for the same goal: guest satisfaction.
  • A Server upholds our Mission Statement and Standards of Conduct.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to): 

  • Never guess.  Ask if you don’t know.
  • Arrive at work physically and mentally prepared for the needs of the shift.
  • Be ready to work at the time dictated by the schedule.
  • Follow all SOPs and SOS relevant to the Server’s position.
  • Follow all opening, closing, and sidework checklists for the set-up, break-down, and maintenance of the restaurant, rooftop, lounge, or bar.
  • Follow all cleanliness and organizational guidelines.
  • Memorize all food and beverage menus and ingredient lists as directed.
  • Greet tables, take orders, and collect payment from guests.
  • Communicate needs to team members and management.
  • Read and respond to written, verbal, or video communication from management in a timely manner.  Commit updates and changes to procedures, menus, etc. to memory.
  • Execute all tasks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clean and organized guest tables.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to our food, facility, guest, and physical safety guidelines.
  • Be open and flexible to change.
  • Maintain the attitude that no job is too small as all jobs lead to guest satisfaction.
  • Be a willing and strong team player.  Remember that the entire restaurant is your section.  Every table is your table. Every guest is your guest.
