L'ATELIER de Joel Robuchon seeks an enthusiastic and capable Host/Hostess & Reservationist to join our exceptional team of service leaders.

A Reservationist at L'ATELIER is responsible for creating an outstanding first impression and positive image of the restaurant, as this is the first contact with guests. This role efficiently and accurately handles reservations, cancellations and a variety of inquiries received from guests or public, and re-directs these inquiries to the restaurant staff as needed. The Reservationist is responsible for maximizing bookings by delivering a delightful yet efficient reservations service; our reservationists are meticulous at administration, ensuring that every detail of a customer’s reservation has been accurately recorded following established procedures while projecting courtesy and hospitality.

Host/ Hostess at L'ATELIER is attentive to the overall first impression that a guest receives, greeting all guests with warmth and hospitality. This role will set the stage for the guest experience by greeting and seating the guests, as well as assisting the Maître d' with the reservation management system. The host/hostess is also responsible for the overall presentation, cleanliness and organization of the assigned guest service areas, such as the coat check, bathrooms, and salon/foyer.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of reservations and host experience in fine dining restaurants, or establishments of similar caliber. You must be organized, motivating, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and of course personable. Working knowledge of reservation management systems is highly preferred.

At the time of his passing in August 2018 he held 31 Michelin stars—more than any chef in history—and ran 29 restaurants spanning 11 countries, in cities including Paris, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, London, Monaco, New York, and Tokyo, among others. He was awarded the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (France's Best Craftsman) in cuisine; was titled "Chef of the Century" by the guide Gault Millau; and mentored a generation of renowned chefs including Eric Ripert and Gordon Ramsay.
