Officina, from Chef Nicholas Stefanelli, is the newest restaurant and retail concept now open at The Wharf in Washington, D.C. We will feature a 90 seat dining room with an open kitchen, a year round outdoor rooftop bar overlooking the Washington Channel, private dining rooms, a high-end Amaro library, rustic lunch counter, and an Italian retail market offering everything from fresh pasta and fresh baked bread to imported Italian wines. In addition to a fresh, innovative, and seasonal menu we have an extensive wine list and bar program.

We invite you to join our growing creative and passionate team of hospitality professionals as Captain.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and serve food and beverages in a high volume dining room
  • Extensively describe food and beverage offerings under pressure
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
  • Successfully work as a team player in a dynamic team
  • Conduct training sessions with new staff members
  • Take ownership of assigned station including stocking, organizing, and maintaining cleanliness
  • Assist sommeliers in retrieving and serving wine
  • Run beverage and food
  • Assist with banquet room setup and breakdown

Requirements

  • Experience working in the food industry
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Close attention to detail
  • Able to stand while working for eight hours or more
  • Able to function at a high standard in a high volume environment
  • Excel in teamwork
  • Clean and well presented for service
  • 21 years or older
