Rezdora is an Italian Restaurant dedicated to the food & hospitality of the Emilia Romagna region in Italy. The restaurant was founded by chef Stefano Secchi and entrepreneur David Switzer and we are projecting to open in late April 2019.  Mr. Secchi’s father is from Italy and he has worked and cooked in the homeland for 3 years including at Osteria Francescana, All’Enoteca and Hosteria Giusti, based in Modena, Emilia Romagna and Canale, Piemonte respectively.  

Our service team be led by General Manager Sidonie Rodman who is also beverage director.  Sidonie grew up working in her family’s hotels and and became a certified sommelier in 2005, she has 6 years of NYC restaurant experience including at Dirty French, the Breslin and as part of the opening management team for Agern restaurant.   Sidonie believes that a culture built on hospitality, with focus on how you treat each other and continuous education, are the cornerstones for a positive, happy and courteous team that works cohesively together.

 

The Sommelier will work directly with the General Manager to help build the beverage program, through tastings and staff education.  The sommelier will actively be on the floor driving wine sales and building relationships with guests.  We work as a team to provide great service to our guests both in wine sales and service. There is a lot of opportunity to learn about Italian wine and how a small wine program is built.  A lot of fun for the right person who is passionat about ITalian wine.
