We are a Japanese Izakaya, we have created a fun, authentic, energetic environment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side; an Izakaya is a type of informal Japanese pub. They are casual places for after-work drinking. They have been compared to Irish pubs, tapas bars and early American saloons and taverns.
Prep Cook & Food Expeditor
We are looking for a competent and ambitious Prep Cook & Food expeditor to help keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. You will work in a fast-paced environment to get proper orders out faster and more efficiently.
As food expeditor, you must have excellent communication skills and experience in a restaurant’s hectic setting. You must have enough stamina to be in constant motion and skills to coordinate and organize processes and people.
The goal is to make service faster and better to help enhance our quality and reputation.
We are in soft opening phase now, the ideal candidate can start almost immediately.
