Job Details
K'Far Cafe is looking for fired up dinner hosts to join our team. We are a new, all day Israeli bakery and cafe from Cooknsolo, the team behind Zahav, Abe Fisher, Federal Donuts, Dizengoff, and Goldie. We will offer elevated Israeli cafe fare during the day and Israeli small plates at night, with a full bar focusing on low alcohol beverages that can be enjoyed both day and night.

We are seeking experienced, full time hosts to join our opening dinner team. Hosts will be expected to warmly greet guests, manage reservations and guest requests, remain calm under pressure, and help out with basic bussing and resetting tasks on the floor. The right candidate is friendly, organized, and self-motivated, and will be hospitable and welcoming to all guests that walk through our doors. Previous experience is preferred but we are open to training the right person. Weekend availability is required.

Meaning “village” in Hebrew, K’Far is an all-day cafe and bakery inspired by the food, energy and warmth of Israeli bakeries that chef Mike Solomonov experienced at his very first kitchen job: working at a bakery in his hometown just outside of Tel Aviv, K’Far Saba.

By day, K’Far offers counter service with baked goods like borekas and rugelach, plus toasts made with traditional Yemenite kubaneh bread and Jerusalem bagel sandwiches. After 11am, the all-day menu expands to a range of salads and grain bowls. Dinner becomes full-service with a more traditional Israeli cafe vibe, serving dishes like Spicy Yemenite Cauliflower, T’Bit - the Iraqi chicken & rice Sabbath casserole, and Persian Lamb Shank.

The bar at K’Far celebrates low-proof aperitif cocktails, as well as vermouth, sherry, and other boutique wines.

K'Far is co-owned by chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook of the distinctive CookNSolo Restaurants. Executive Chef Camille Cogswell is at the helm.
