Loi Estiatorio is looking for exceptional candidates to join our growing team! We are committed to creating the best authentic Greek hospitality experience in the heart of Midtown and are seeking enthusiastic professional individuals who have a passion for providing unparalleled guest service – currently we are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and reliable FOH professionals: Servers/Waiter/Waitress and Food Runners/Bussers/Back-Waiters

SERVER/WAITER/WAITRESS:

A Server/Waiter/Waitress is above all to be passionate about the people they are taking care of, the product we serve, and the team of hospitality professionals of which they are a part. Servers/Waiter/Waitress guide our restaurant guests through their dining experience by providing expert recommendations related to both food and beverage. 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare floor for each service: Polish silver ware and glasses, align tables and place settings, ensure dining room is clean and ready to receive guests 
  • Stock wines as necessary
  • Work together with fellow FOH staff to facilitate guest experience
  • Closing and Recovery duties to ensure restaurant is ready for next service 
  • Possessing and utilizing knowledge of all offered restaurant menus

 SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of food and wine, have an ability to quickly learn, and have a rigorous attention to detail. 
  • Must be knowledgeable about on the food, cocktail, beer, and wine menu 
  • Must be knowledgeable on cook and prep times, menu pairings, and ingredient listings 
  • Effective in Touch screen POS computer usage
  • Minimum One year of casual-fine dining experience in New York City or other major city required.
  • Availability for lunch and dinner service, and holidays as necessary
  • A passion for food, wine and service
  • Superior communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of tableside etiquette
  • A desire for growth
  • Have long term goals in the service industry
  • A focus on hospitality and guest rapport alongside development of a regular clientele    
BUSSER/RUNNER/BACKWAITER:

We are looking for talented industry professionals who are as passionate as we are about creating an exceptional guest experience. While fine dining experience is strongly preferred, all those who learn quickly, strive for excellence, and love hospitality are welcome to apply. Professional conduct and a collaborative spirit are required.

Runners should have detailed food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to multitask and maintain upbeat focus in a high volume environment. 

BUSSER/RUNNER/BACKWAITER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu
  • Delivering food to guest quickly and efficiently
  • Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front of house staff

SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Available to work nights, holidays as necessary
  • A desire to provide exceptional service throughout the entire shift
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
