Off Site Event Lead
Transports all materials to and from the event area, following all health and safety qualifications for food and serving ware.
Sets up, decorates, and prepares serving and dining areas according to specific directions and layout plans established by the catering manager/director
Prepares or facilitates the display food in an attractive and appetizing way at events
Manage a team of catering staff for successful execution of catering events.
Addresses immediate customer concerns, questions and needs in order to provide an optimal experience.
Breaks down serving and dining areas.
Takes part in and also facilitates the cleaning and organizing of equipment, utensils, dining ware, linens, serving ware, and work areas.
Restocks clean equipment, utensils, and equipment to proper storage areas noting any damages and items to be replaced.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Must be familiar with health and cleanliness standards for food preparation and presentation.
Must have experience with Caterease.
Must have a serv safe certification for Chicago and the state of Illinois.
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills for working with the general public.
Must be a team player and willing to take on additional tasks to get the job done.
Highly professional look and attitude
Excellent time management skills and ability to work in high pressure situations.
Has a keen eye for detail.
Must be capable of working shifts that are between 4-12 hours long
Need to be self motivated with a positive, “whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude.
Having a real passion for good food and providing exceptional service
Has the ability to stay calm in a high pressure situation and resolve problems on the spot.
Effectively motivating staff to be efficient.
