Gabi Restaurant, a new all-day French café opening on Broad Street, is looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to be part of the opening team of our classic French restaurant. We emphasize classic culinary technique, and strive to serve authentic and delicious French food to Philadelphia. We are looking for a Pastry Chef with a proven track record in an upscale, detail oriented kitchen. We want someone who is efficient, organized, knows how to manage a productive prep schedule. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for producing 5-8 different breakfast pastries, croissants, baguette and small bread production, as well as 3-5 desserts. This production will be in conjunction with Sous Chefs and our prep team. Consistency and quality of product is the key to a successful pastry program, and it will be the Pastry Chef’s role to maintain these. We are looking for an excited, hard working, and highly motivated person to step into a new environment confident that they can succeed. This candidate will be ready to work in a faced paced environment, be dependable, and be looking to improve their skills every day. Opening a restaurant is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.
