Adjoining Quince, Lindsay and Chef Michael Tusk’s celebrated Three Star Michelin restaurant, Cotogna (meaning ‘quince’ in Italian) offers a seasonally-changing menu featuring spit-roasted or grilled meats and game birds, wood-oven pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh local fish and seafood, salads, salumi and cheeses in the warm atmosphere of the restaurant’s refined urban design. Qualified candidates will possess the following skills, abilities & experience:
*A genuine & intuitive sense of hospitality
*Hands on commitment to warm, thoughtful and caring service
*Knowledge of Open Table software preferred but not required
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Enthusiastic, friendly attitude & professional appearance
*Reliable team player, detail oriented with the ability to work under pressure & multitask
*Minimum 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry or related customer service position service industry
*Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a plus
*Previous fine-dining & high volume restaurant experience is preferred but not required, along with a willingness to learn.
*A flexible schedule: The ability to work mornings, evenings & weekends
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Greeting members & guests upon arrival to the restaurant
-Providing exceptional customer service, while checking guests into the restaurant, answering & transferring phone calls & providing information about the restaurant
-Understanding & anticipating the needs of guests: Being attentive, listening carefully & being able to follow up
-Occasionally processing payments
-Maintain a clean & safe work environment

Your sphere of control and responsibility will include directing the successful pace of the dining experience at Cotogna by monitoring the overall dining room flow, directing reservation protocols and exceeding guest expectations.
