Hey Nonny General Manager (GM) Job Responsibilities:
Hey Nonny, an exciting high-quality music venue and farm-to-table bistro in Arlington Heights, seeks a General Manager. The GM is responsible for all F&B operations in our restaurant and music venue. This includes FOH staff selection, training, and scheduling, and supervision of Chef de Cuisine, ordering, inventory, private events, maintenance, deliveries, and administration. The GM optimizes sales / profits while ensuring guest satisfaction.
Hey Nonny General Manager Job Duties:
- Business Plan. Works with owners to establishes F&B business plan.
- Financial Performance. Works with owners to establish budget and financial objectives. Responsible for meeting or exceeding financial objectives.
- Marketing. Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public, community relations programs, and customer relations programs.
- Ordering and Inventory. Supervises food, liquor and supplies ordering. Responsible for weekly inventory and inventory controls. Responsible for vendors and deliveries.
- Staff. Hires, trains, supervises, and schedules all FOH staff. Prepares training materials, standard operating procedures, and services standards and enforces standards for all staff. Supervises Chef de Cuisine (who hires and supervises kitchen staff).
- Menus. Works with owners and Chef to revise and hone food menus. Works with bar staff to revise and hone beverage menus.
- Administration. Manages payment of invoices, payroll, closing.
- Maintenance. Supervises all repair, maintenance and cleaning functions.
- Private Parties. Maintains private party sales materials; responsible for private party sales and for managing private functions at the establishment.
- Customer Relations. Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; maintaining customer information and building relationships with preferred patrons.
- Standards. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.
- Brand Enhancement. Maintains and enhances the Hey Nonny brand for great live music and amazing food and beverage service. Tracks emerging trends and attends industry events and seminars to improve the Hey Nonny brand.
Restaurant General Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Cost Accounting, Developing Budgets, Financial Planning and Strategy, Decision Making, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning, Verbal Communication, Customer Focus, Management Proficiency, Managing Profitability, Quality Focus.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel and QuickBooks.
- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must agree to background and credit check
- Must be ServSafe Manager and Basset Certified, Food Handling Certificate and other certifications that are required by local and federal government.
