This program is designed to take you through all of the Main Dining Room positions, begining at Back Waiter, Through dedication, commitment to the process and personal motivation- you will reach the coveted position of Captain. Furthermore, should you have goals to make the transition onto the management team - this is the way to do so. Our Captains are always considered first for openings on our Management team.
Everyone in this program will begin as a Back Waiter, learning and perfecting the skills needed to move to the next level. You can then progress through the ranks of Runner, Front Waiter and Captain. The speed at which you are moved through the positions is based entirely on YOUR performance, professionalism and pursuit of knowledge.
At Del Posto we believe that in order to be a great service professional you should be capable of performing all positions before your current one, and we have found that this system produces individuals who are able- and willing- to help each other, work as a team and motivate one another.

This our only entry level position - in other words everyone begins this program as a Back Waiter. This program is for an employee looking to make the commitment towards a great career in the Hospitality Industry - it is not for a temporary job seeker looking to spend 6 months at Del Posto.
This position is excellent for a culinary school or hospitality school graduate, but is also for someone who wants take a big step in their Hospitality career. Experience working in fine dining is not required- but intelligence, motivation and a friendly, healthy, positive attitude certainly is!
This is a full time position, lunch and dinner shifts are required. Please be sure to include a letter explaining why you should be considered for this very special program.
As part of the service team you will be compensated with tips and an hourly rate. A Back Waiter will start off making approximately $50K per year, from a mix of tips and hourly rate. Increases in tips occur at every promotion. Del Posto offers medical and dental healthcare benefits after 60 days of employment and a 401K plan and paid vacation time are offered after 1 year of employment. Additionally, life, accident and short term disability insurances are available after 60 days. Furthermore, Del Posto provides its employees with many opportunities for continuing education- including beverage tastings/classes and educational seminars.
