Job Description – Chef de Cuisine

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Chef de Cuisine is prepared to run all operations including but not limited to: 

  • Ensure excellence in food consistency/quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Hiring, training and development of a high performance BOH staff and management 
  • Plan the menu in consultation with the other managers and maintain a strong knowledge of contemporary cuisines and awareness of current food & beverage industry trends.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations
  • Management of daily / weekly financial controls, procedures and budgets
  • Ensure restaurant receives highest possible health department rating.

Skills & Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of related experience required in a moderate to high volume full service restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of all back of the house operations including foods/stations, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety / sanitation, including industry software (e.g. Restaurant365, Excel)
  • Proven experience in building high-performing teams
  • Problem solver
  • Willing to work extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
