Bartender Job Opening at Vie in Western Springs
We are looking to augment our beverage team with an experienced, professional bartender who is eager to consistently perform at a high caliber and provide our guests with the best possible experience from start to finish. Vie (vierestaurant.com), Chef Paul Virant's flagship restaurant, focuses on year-round seasonal eating with menus showcasing locally grown, artisan ingredients from Midwestern family farms. The well-regarded beverage program at Vie mirrors our kitchen's seasonal, from-scratch creed.
Our ideal candidate will have:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive and maintain a consistent beverage program by accurately following established recipes and pour standards, and keeping a friendly but focused pace appropriate with service volume
Guide guests who are dining at the bar or in the lounge through their dining experience by describing the cuisine and enlightening them on ingredients and techniques
Adhere to legal standards for safely handling and serving alcohol; maintain a secure and healthy environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; Beverage Alcohol Sellers/Servers Education & Training (BASSET) certification required
Be an expert on Vie's food, beverage and service standards, and guide support staff as needed
