According to Eater’s Spring 2019 list of the ‘Essential 38’ restaurant in Denver, Ace Eat Serve “has risen to a high level with a new chef and an overhauled pan-Asian food menu. [Executive Chef] Thach Tran serves seriously good Sichuan wontons, scallop and shrimp X.O. rice pillows, and duck ramen well into the night and during a killer happy hour. Desserts such as bao doughnuts and miso caramel mousse by pastry chef Nadine Donovan are also worth a visit.”

Ace Eat Serve is the 3rd locally-owned, independent restaurant from the group behind Vesta, Steuben’s Uptown, and Steuben’s Arvada. We serve Asian-inspired cuisine in a unique space next door to Steuben's in the uptown neighborhood.  Ace Eat Serve combines a unique dining room and chef's counter with an indoor/outdoor bar, patio lounge, and Denver's only dedicated ping pong hall.

We are seeking a pro line cook with an interest in working with Asian cuisine, the desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a high volume kitchen
  • Clean, organized, and efficient kitchen skills
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude throughout entire shift
  • Full-time and open availability including weekends
  • Eligible for employment in the US - verified through E-Verify

Our company has been recognized as a top area workplace by the Denver Post, and we have also been recognized for our in-house wellness programs, philanthropy program, and green business initiatives. Line cooks Ace Eat Serve receive great benefits including:

  • Discounted RTD Bus/Rail passes
  • Free employee meals during shifts
  • 50% employee dining and bar discounts at Vesta, Steuben's, and Ace Eat Serve at all other times
  • Discounted company gym and yoga memberships (24 Hour Fitness, Orange Theory, Corepower Yoga, Colorado Athletic Club, and Movement Climbing Gym)
  • Weekly pay periods & Direct Deposit

If you meet the above qualifications and are interested, please reply with your resume attached or apply in person between 2-4pm at 501 East 17th Ave

Secret Sauce F&B: Our first restaurant, Vesta Dipping Grill, opened in 1997 in what was, at the time, the upcoming neighborhood of Lodo. Steuben’s first location followed, in 2006, in the then re-emerging Uptown area at 17th and Pearl. Steuben’s quickly gained great popularity with its regional American menu, award-wining classic cocktail program, and eye-catching design. Ace Eat Serve, a multi-use eatery consisting of Asian restaurant, ping-pong hall, event space, plus patio and bar, opened in 2012 next door to Steuben’s. In early 2016, Steuben’s opened a second Steuben’s location near Olde Town, Arvada.

Casual Dining, Bar / Lounge

Part of Secret Sauce

When viewed as a whole, Ace Eat Serve -- located on the corner of 17th Avenue and Pennsylvania St. -- is grand in scale. However, look further and you’ll find that Ace Eat Serve combines three unique concepts into one Mayor's Design Award-winning space.

At Ace Eat Serve’s heart is a comfortable and airy dining room overlooked by the open kitchen and chef’s counter from which Executive Chef, Thach Tran, showcases his modern and exciting style of Asian cuisine. Having spent his earliest years in Vietnam, Chef Tran's culinary foundation is built upon memories of his grandmother's noodle shop and the vibrant food markets of Saigon. Later, a classical culinary education was received at Johnson and Wales University, eventually leading to roles in several prestigious Denver kitchens. In 2017, Chef Tran stepped into the role of Executive Chef at Ace Eat Serve where he helped distinguish Ace from sister restaurants, Vesta and Steuben’s, while earning a reputation as one of Denver's best Asian restaurants. Exploring authentically-inspired Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese cuisine has helped Thach create a culinary identity through dishes like his signature XO Rice Pillows and the Prawn and Lobster Ramen – winner of Denver's best ramen at the 2018 Ramen Throwdown.

Explore further into Ace's lively space and you'll find an expansive ping pong hall and unique event space -– home to an array of Cornilleau ping pong tables, a private room, and full A/V capabilities. On most nights, the pong hall/event space is full of large and small groups playing ping pong while enjoying full kitchen and bar service. However, the pong hall doubles as a customizable event space that can be fully or partially reserved to host corporate events and company parties, business presentations, birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, and fundraising events. Buffets, passed appetizer and cart service, or full service, seated meals are among the dining options to go along with A/V and photo booth options.

Finally, Ace Eat Serve’s indoor/outdoor bar and vast patio round out the experience, offering a communal space for large groups to gather for happy hour and outdoor seating. With a focus on craft cocktails, a well-edited beer selection, and an extensive list of Japanese whisky, the Ace bar team can provide the perfect accompaniment for the Asian-inspired cuisine of Chef Tran and Executive pastry chef, Nadine Donovan.
