Job Details

Dominique Crenn, the chef/owner of San Francisco restaurants Petit Crenn, Bar Crenn, and three Michelin starred Atelier Crenn, focuses on cuisine as a craft and the community as an inspiration. Crenn was awarded World’s Best Female Chef in 2016 by San Pellegrino’s 50 Best, Best Chef: West in May of 2018 by the James Beard Foundation, and four stars from SF Chronicle in June 2018.

Responsibilities (these are not all inclusive):

  • Responsible for the method of service, production, and cooking to ensure all items are prepared to meet deadlines and standards.
  • Properly execute plated dishes with varying components to standards set by Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef.
  • Complete all closing requirements as directed by Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef.
  • Taste and review products on a daily basis to ensure quality and consistency with preparation and presentation.
  • Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining new recipes, presentations, and products.
  • Have working knowledge of inventory ordering systems.
  • Identify and communicate suggestions to the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef for policies and procedures to improve the operation.

Qualifications:

  •  Minimum of 2 yrs experience in a fine dining setting
  • Managerial experience a plus
  • Total understanding of all stations, techniques, and standards

Petit Crenn is a neighborhood restaurant inspired by Chef Dominique Crenn’s mother, grandmother and her home in Brittany, France.
The all-seafood and vegetable menu is served family style twice nightly and will change daily based on the produce our chefs select at the market and the fresh seafood our purveyors bring each morning.

We invite you to join us at the bar, without a reservation, for wine and à la carte menu items from 5-10 pm.
