Dizengoff, an Israeli-style hummusiya serving freshly-made hummus platters with hearth-baked pita from the award-winning team behind Zahav, is hiring a sous chef to join their team.  

Candidates must be fired up about creating the guest experience, be comfortable working in an open kitchen, handle high volume with an upbeat attitude, be self-motivated, communicate with staff members and guests effectively and seamlessly, and work clean all while dishing up exceptional hospitality. Front-of-house experience is a plus but not required.

Candidate kitchen requirements include: The ability to read tickets quickly and act as your own expo; work a fast-paced cold station that equally requires efficiency and quality; above-average knife skills; a basic understanding of meat and vegetable cookery; a deference for mise en place and a clean and organized station; and ability to engage an immaculately clean and inviting restaurant.

Candidate kitchen responsibilities include: Ordering; maintaining inventory; managing the kitchen staff and work space with the highest cleanliness standards; creating new menu items; overseeing daily prep production; and leading staff with an exemplary work ethic and unwavering positive attitude.  

We pride ourselves in providing a satisfying meal for every slice of society, with the belief that the guest experience matters most.  A minimum of 2 years experience is preferred but not absolutely required.
