Sous Chef Wanted for I’m Eddie Cano, from the newest restaurant group in Washington DC.

 

What we are:

A fun, innovative and authentic 80 seat Italian restaurant in the heart of Chevy Chase, DC.  We strive to offer impeccable, efficient service and genuine hospitality to our ever growing list of neighbors and their guests.   

Culinary Production will include Modern Italian and Italian~American dishes, including authentic renditions of Italian staples using local and imported products, classic and innovative cooking methods and techniques.  We make all pastas in house.  Local and Sustainable sourcing utilizing this regions diverse and exemplary products from PA Amish Country, Shenandoah valley, Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the Chesapeake and West Virginia.

 What we need:

A dedicated individual with passion for consistent, refined culinary execution, willing to utilize both modern and classic technique to provide an exceptional dining experience.  The candidate must be professional, hospitality and service oriented.  No tolerance for poor execution.   Italian cookery and pasta production are highly preferred.  Moderate to high volume production experience is ideal.

This position requires skills including; line cooking, expiditing, ordering, scheduling, some computer literacy, and general kitchen sanitiation practices.

 The candidate will be in a position to learn and employ healthy Kitchen Management techniques to grow into the next step for your own career.  Bi-lingual (Italian and/or Spanish) is a plus.

We would like to see a minimum of three years of restaurant kitchen experience, and one year as a kitchen management experience, but all applicants welcome as we are looking for the right attitude and charisma as much as experience.
