Chef Ford Fry’s Optimist brings a seaside fish camp experience to landlocked Atlantans. From fresh oysters from the Alabama coast and Maine sea scallops to whole roasted Georgia trout, guests enjoy super fresh, sustainably-sourced seafood from the country’s most responsible fishermen and purveyors. Tucked into an old ham aging warehouse, The Optimist serves up beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails with hickory-roasted fish and raw oysters, while beach-food classics like hush puppies and lobster rolls transport you to your favorite seaside haunts.

The Host at The Optimist welcomes landlocked Atlantans to a seaside escape! The Host should boast a positive demeanor and naturally curious personality with an ability to work cohesively and support unity within the team. He/she should be able to take cues from guests’ behavior to ensure an extraordinary experience. Knowledge of OpenTable and related food and beverage experience preferred. Become part of a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt group of unique individuals!

Competitive pay - $10 to $17/hr. based on experience and ability

Flexible schedule. Full time hours available
